Extra-Curricula Sports: Starting Fourth Week of School - 23rd September 2019
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Extra Curricula Activities Schedule follows:
Mondays P.M.: Public Speaking (led by Mrs Veronica Hector), Cricket and Basketball
Tuesdays Track and Field (a.m.) Steel Pan Practice (p.m.)
Wednesdays P.M. Netball and Cricket
Thursday P.M. Brownies (led by Miss Tricia Meade with assistance from Geraldine Mason and Rainbows (Led by Mrs Helen Owen)
Friday P.M. Steel Pan Practice led by Delroy Joseph with assistance an assistant
I am pleased to inform you that with the support of the Youth and Sports Department we now have two young energetic coaches, Kriston Murraine and Ellen Fenton, facilitating Extra Curricular Sports beginning the Fourth Week of School that is Monday 23rd September 2019.
Pupils from Grades 3 to 6: ages between 8 to 11 years are encouraged to get involved in at least one (1) sports. Each activity is supported by a teacher. Events will commence at 3:15 each day and end at 4:30 p.m., with the exception of Track and Field which will be in the morning. Please ensure that your child/ward has appropriate sports gear to change into, an extra snack on the day(s) s/he will remain after school and that you make the relevant transportation arrangements to pick him/her up promptly after the event.

In addition, Thursday 26th September is PTA Meeting as well as St. Augustine's 144th Anniversary. Please make every effort to attend PTA Meeting and contribute to the development of your child/ward and St. Augustine Primary. The School will celebrate the Anniversary on Friday 27th September with a variety of events to include fun activities and a Career Fair for the senior pupils. No formal classes on that day. Pupils are encouraged to wear jeans with PREFERABLY their school polo shirt or House T Shirt and tennis shoes.

reminded that Wednesday 23rd
October, 2019 is “Hot Dog and Jeans Day!” Pupils will be allowed to
wear jeans clothing.
Each
child who wishes to wear jeans on that day is required to pay a small fee of $3.00.
Hot dogs will be on sale for $5.00, and fruit drink will cost $2.00.
It
is expected that on Jeans Day, children will be modestly dressed; no extra short pants, blouses, nor
skirts with long slits.
Kindly
complete the slip below to indicate whether your child/ward will participate in
this event. If so, how many hot dogs and drinks would be purchased by him/her
and your total payment.
The
slip below, together with full payment, should be handed in to your
child/ward’s class teacher no later than Monday
30th September, 2019.
